At Hamptons Mindful Youth, we specialize in providing engaging, child centered tele-health interventions ranging from Cognitive Behavior Therapy to Acceptance Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. But our true passion lies in Positive Psychology and whole-body wellness, where we help children (and families) use their strengths to create a life of well-being. We do this by helping children
- Gain an understanding of their unique brains and ways to set themselves up for success.
- Cultivate mindfulness of their thoughts, associated feelings, and behavior patterns.
- Grow self-compassion and acceptance – as this is the foundation for resilience, positive relationships with others and so much more.
- Increase their executive functioning by learning techniques in areas such as time management, workflow, and goal setting.
- Strengthen their ability to respond rather than become reactive when presented with a challenging situation.
- Learn to identify, challenge, and diffuse from unhelpful or rigid thoughts – and to come back to the moment.
- Incorporate stress-reduction/ active-relaxation /mindfulness practices they uniquely find engaging into their daily lives.
- Build intrinsic motivation to work on themselves by identifying values, strengths, and past achievements.
